Homes & Rural Feel

Nature abounds in the Red Coat community and homes are set in wooded park-like surroundings. Well groomed and maintained lawns and gardens can be found in all directions. Yet, some estates have preserved their tall trees, which are ideal for shade and privacy. 

Stone is a prominent feature here; whether it be a stone wall, facade, fireplace or border around the patio of an inground pool. In addition to these large properties, other modest contemporary homes can be found mixed throughout this neighborhood making it a good place to start in Westport.

Nearby Westport's Shopping

In between 6 to 8 minutes, residents of the Red Coat neighborhood can access the popular In-town boutique shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, markets and cafes. Westport’s Library, Levitt Pavilion, and Country Playhouse are also about the same distance. A little further south, residents can find Compo Beach and Longshore Club Park. Gyms and fitness centers are not far from this part of Westport either.

One amenity in Red Coat is the Westport Weston Family YMCA. This YMCA offers programs to the community that nurture healthy living for youth, adults and families. It is a popular fitness destination for locals. 

Another convenience to Red Coat is the Westport train station which is usually between 9 and 12 minutes away by car.

If you live in the Red Coat neighborhood, your children will likely attend either Kings Highway or Coleytown Elementary School and Coleytown Middle School.
