Do you want to know which is the best train station to leave from and where to park in Greenwich? I’m going to give you all that information here and more.

Train Stations:

My clients are always concerned about proximity to the train station, and what’s the point of buying a house in a neighborhood with a train station if there’s no parking available. 

It’s a valid concern and if you want to avoid the parking issue altogether I’m going to leave you with a link to homes for sale within walking distance to all of the Greenwich train stations right here.

If you’re looking to depart out of Cos Cob, Riverside, or Old Greenwich on a weekday morning, parking is going to be very limited and you’re going to need to get there early to secure a parking spot. The main station has the most spaces and it will give you the best chance of getting a space on a weekday morning.

 If you’re planning to travel on evenings or weekends from any of the stations you’re not going to have trouble finding space.

NOTE: If you apply for a parking permit there’s a waitlist at all the stations. However, Cos Cob typically has the shortest wait. 

I’m going to give you the parking permit information in a moment.. However, if you can’t get a space in the Greenwich station near your home (while you’re waiting for your parking permit), you can always use the main Stamford station. The parking is plentiful and your commute time will be nearly identical.
