Amenities Nearby Compo South

This neighborhood is bordered by the Post Road to the north and Greens Farms Road to the south. Compo South makes for a central location for anyone wanting easy access to many of Westport’s coastal-living, upscale amenities. 

It offers easy access to many conveniences, including restaurants, posh boutiques, Trader Joe’s grocery store,  pharmacy, and other businesses. Yet, this neighborhood is only about a five minute drive from the exclusive, In-town shopping and dining district, the main Westport train station and the sandy seashore of Compo Beach.

Housing Options

You will find that homes in Compo South vary in style. Houses that border Compo South on the east and west tend to sit on larger plots. These homes, many of which are newer construction, custom builds are known for their meticulous architecture with natural stone fences, inground pools, long driveways, privacy gardens and well groomed lawns. 

Sprinkled throughout this area, however, are smaller, more modest houses, many of which maintain charm and attractive curb appeal making this area a great starter neighborhood.

Schools

If you live in the Compo South neighborhood, your children will likely attend Saugatuck Elementary School and Bedford Middle School. All students in Westport go to Staples High School. Compo South is also home to The Parent Child Center. Here, there are three distinct childcare communities that offer preschool and daycare programs for infants through kindergarten. Each school has a variety of options for parents that include school year and summer programs.
