This... is Fairfield Connecticut. We are going to explore the stunning Fairfield CT waterfront, so you can decide which area is a fit for you

Hi, my name is Charlie Vinci. I am a Fairfield CT Realtor, and my realty team and I specialize in helping buyers understand what living in Fairfield CT entails and how to relocate to the area.

Today we will be exploring the Fairfield waterfront, answering your questions and showing you what this beautiful area has to offer.

Table of Contents:

Introduction:

Today we are going to take a look at Fairfield Waterfront Real Estate. If you have watched some of our other videos, you know that as a kid, I was pretty passionate about our local coastline, still am in fact. If you are thinking about buying a waterfront home, or are just curious, it can be tough to know what the views are like, where the best spots are, and what's nearby. Today I am going to share some of what I have learned over the years to give you a good understanding of the Fairfield waterfront, so you can decide which area is best for you, let's go.

If you are new to the site my name is Charlie Vinci and I am a Fairfield realtor. My team and I have put together a Waterfront Market Report to accompany this article which includes all of the active, pending and sold waterfront homes for sale.

Southport:

The coastal part of the Southport Neighborhood is historic and absolutely charming. Many of the buildings date back to the 1800’s including the churches and library.

Along Pequot Ave, you are going to find a small beach, and village area that has all the basics like a grocery store, pharmacy and post office.

There's also a train station that will get you to Grand Central Station in about seventy minutes. This area was developed around its harbor, which was of course for shipping at one point.

Views over the harbor to the southeast are absolutely stunning. As you can see, this is an excellent place for a boat, and some homes have docks that are accessible at all tides.

Standing on the deck of the Pequot Yacht Club, You will hear the clanging from the sailboat rigging, the smell of salt is in the air, with the splendid views of the Country Club of Fairfield on the other side. You might be able to tell that I like it here!

Even with this quick glimpse, I think you can see why Southport often makes the list for the best neighborhoods in the US. If you would like to know more about Southport, I would encourage you to explore our Southport Neighborhood tour.

Sasco:

Did you notice the large homes on the other side of the golf course when we were looking across the harbor? That’s the Sasco Neighborhood.

In addition to the Golf Course, the Country Club of Fairfield has a beautiful oceanfront community center with a pool, tennis courts, and a wonderful sandy beach.

If you love the beach here, but don’t fancy paying the dues, the public Sasco beach is right next door. The sand is just as nice, and you also have sweeping views of Long Island Sound.

As we come around Kensie Point, you have another public beach. This one is South Pine Creek Beach. If you like a quiet beach, this one may be a good fit, but get here early because there isn't much parking.

Fairfield/Penfield/Jennings Beach:

Next, let's take a look at Fairfield’s shining star. The reason that people all across the Gold Coast come here, rather than the dozens of other beaches they could visit…

This is the beginning of a nearly three mile stretch of sandy beach that is excellent for swimming and catching rays. It has three names, depending on where you access it. This Narrow part is Fairfield beach, and you will probably only use it if you were staying in one of the homes along its shoreline because beach access is limited here. The homes on this part of the beach tend to be smaller and packed in.

As we round the corner over Penfield Reef, you will notice the beach gets wider. Do you see the pavilion there? That's the Penfield Beach access point. It offers food and restrooms. There is also a small play area.

You will notice that the homes are more high end north of the Penfield Beach access point.

Just north of the Penfield beach access point is the Fairfield Beach Club. It's the same beach, but you get service, food, drinks, and a pool and tennis courts.

If parking is limited and Penfield Beach, try the Jennings beach access point. The parking lot is much larger, and you also get food and restrooms here too.

No matter where you are on any of these beaches, you have sweeping views of the Long Island Sound.

Just north of the Jennings Beach access point, you will find the Fairfield Marina. This is an excellent public marina, if you are a boater, or want to be one, check it out because prices are very reasonable for what they offer.
